Mind in place, body catching up by dancer Grace Kemp

Every once in a while you take a little breather from intensive training, or you change your style for a while to work on different muscle groups. This change can leave an aching in some muscles if they haven't been used for a while. This oh so familiar pain was felt in my legs this morning after yesterday's rehearsal. But it is a good pain. It reminds you of how your body should be moving, and thanks to muscle memory I know where I need to work and focus on for the performance. Added to this we have completed an abdominal workout so we should all be in excellent shape for the show.

The rapid work of Molly should be applauded, after 2 rehearsals she has pretty much got the choreography of the whole show.

I found working on the Elvis scene interesting today. It makes me realise how the same choreography can feel different on different bodies. Angles that work on one body might not necessarily quite right for another and working with each other to find the right way is paramount to success.
