Wow! I felt like I was on day release! I missed the little fella and his big blue eyes but enjoyed the freedom. How easy it is to get around without a pushchair to carry up and down stairs. You can just glide along platforms and tap delicately up and down the stairs. I had forgotten how neat and well dressed working people are with their outfits all colour co-ordinated (OK - they are mainly black and grey!) and neatly pressed with no visible spots of baby sick or milk leakage and the women with flawless make-up and perfect figures they would probably scream at the sight of my stretch marks and C-section scar.
The evening before I took my time to prepare dinner and, in the kitchen, I managed to work out a few phrases of choreography to a scene that I had been working on. I had already selected the music which I put on repeat as I put the steriliser on. This is how I tend to work - for me the music often comes first and from that I am able to visualize the scene. So by dancing in the kitchen I was able to prepare the rehearsal.
And so I find myself in my favourite studio at The Place (Studio 8 - in case you are interested) laughing and instructing three lovely but very different dancers and I think I have my main cast.
