What a few months it has been! Baby Dylan was finally born overdue at 41 weeks + 3 days on 26 August at 2.30am. That was six weeks ago and I am just about recovered from the emergency c section and hoping to begin exercising again. I'm planning on getting my Darcey Bussell Pilates and Barbara Currie Yoga dvds out very soon!!
While getting used to motherhood and recovering from surgery, the news hit my inbox that I had been selected for Resolution! 2016 at The Place with my proposed new show about pregnancy and motherhood. I was so relieved that I actually got my application in for Resolution, as I almost didn't.
This will be my third time at Resolution and every time I have applied it has always been a bit hit or miss whether I will actually press the submit button for the online application.
On the day of the Resolution deadline I was still bleeding from birth and had been passing blood clots which seemed to be increasing both in quantity and size. On calling the hospital for advice I was advised to go straight to A&E to get myself checked out. It all sounded a bit dramatic to me and it wasn't until I passed a blood clot the size of a hand that I decided to listen to this advice. However, on the way to the hospital I remembered that it was the Resolution deadline at 5pm and it was now 1pm so I asked my partner if we could go back home for me to complete the application and press submit.
Most of my application was already completed but there were gaps in the questions and the last couple of pages were blank. My partner and baby waited in the car while I very quickly went through the online form and finally submitted then off we went to A&E!
